Profile Description
Andrew Zhang, MD is an Ivy League trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in spine surgery. He currently serves as the Chief of Adult and Pediatric Orthopaedic Spine Surgery, as well as Assistant Professor and the Associate Program Director to the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency. Dr. Zhang graduated from The George Washington University in Washington, DC with dual degrees in biology and economics, with highest honors in each. He would later obtain his MD with Distinction in Research from the same institution and was elected to the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at LSU Health Shreveport and would later graduate from Brown University for advanced spine fellowship training, under the mentorship of renowned orthopaedic and neurosurgeons. There, he also served as a Clinical Instructor of Spine Surgery for the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University.
